Lisa inherited her business after the sudden death of her father at an early age. She rose to the challenge and has grown her business tremendously, often by taking a new approach to serving families in her market. We asked Lisa to share her thoughts about Leap Tie and our services.
Tell us a little about you and your business.
I’m the Owner, President and Chief Executive Officer of Baue Funeral Homes, Crematory & St. Charles Memorial Gardens in St. Charles County, Missouri. We are a 3rd generation family owned business with three locations and a staff of close to 100 team members. We also own a Flower and Gift Shop, an 80 acre Cemetery and Cremation Park, a Pet Cremation and Tribute Company, a Counseling Center, a Monument Service Company, and a new Cremation Society. Combined we currently serve over 1,800 families a year.
Managing, promoting and building this many businesses must present a lot of challenges to you. One of them being marketing and advertising several entities. What did Leap Tie provide you with first to help you meet these challenges?
Leap Tie has an unprecedented approach in their Market 360. I’ve never seen anything like it. They provide a unique understanding of our position in the market, but also our overall business structure. Their data on our business provided immediate insights into areas for improvement and verification of our known strengths and achievements in key performance areas.
After this initial phase, which Leap Tie entitles “Listen” and includes the Market 360, how soon did you see an impact in your organization?
Immediately. It’s been phenomenal in terms of how quickly and accurately they have translated our brand into a cohesive format that works for all of our entities. Not only have they already completed projects that we would have expected to take a significant amount of time, but they served our needs right out of the gate with current deadlines and at affordable prices.
Would you recommend Leap Tie to other firms in the profession?
Yes and no. They are very specialized and effective at helping firms in the profession who are committed to excelling and growing their business. This means they require a true partnership with their clients to achieve results. Being open to a new perspective and willing to commit to a long term strategy is key to the partnership working. It’s not a shortcut or quick fix, so it may not be for some firms who really can’t or won’t maintain a passionate vision over time.
